That distinction matters when you book. You are staying in the wider metro, not in the loop, so treat the things the loop is known for as a trip out rather than a stroll from your room.
Grant Park itself is the zoo, the Cyclorama and the best Sunday farmers market in the city, and families end up here and stay put. If that is your plan, expect to travel to reach it, and check how you will get there before you commit. The nearest rail label is King Memorial, 20 min, and the trail sits 0.6 mi from these hotels, so a car or a ride is likely part of your day. Suits anyone who wants a bed near the city without paying to be inside it. Wrong for a holiday built around walking out of the lobby into Grant Park.
