Georgia Aquarium
Enormous, expensive, and genuinely good with children. Book a timed entry and go at opening or after three, never at noon.
Combined passes with the neighbouring attractions rarely pay off unless you do three.

Center for Civil and Human Rights
The lunch-counter simulator alone justifies the ticket. Pair it with the King park rather than with the aquarium — it deserves a quiet afternoon.

Eating · Old Fourth Ward
Ponce City Market
A Sears warehouse turned food hall on the trail. Excellent in parts, unbearable at weekend lunchtime, and the paid roof is only worth it at dusk.
Go before 11:00 and eat in the hall, not on the terrace.

Krog Street Market and the tunnel

Night · Midtown
Fox Theatre, whatever is on
A 1929 Moorish picture palace with a ceiling of stars. The room is the reason to go; the show is almost secondary.

A night in Little Five Points
Record shops, the Variety Playhouse, and the loudest street corner in the city. Loud into the small hours, which is either the point or the problem.

Prices are what we paid at the counter, and the ticketed ones move — we say "ticketed" rather than printing a number that will be wrong in a year. Times are how long it actually took us, including the queue. Nothing on this page is sponsored, no venue knew we were coming, and the two we would skip are ones we paid for first.
Put together
Three days that actually work.
Day one
The east side, on foot
09:00
Blue line to Inman Park, through the Krog Street tunnel, breakfast at Krog Street Market.
11:00
North up the Eastside Trail: skate park, Fourth Ward pond, Ponce City Market before the queue.
15:00
Keep going to the 10th Street gate and lose the afternoon in Piedmont Park.
19:00
Dinner in Midtown, train home from Midtown station.
Day two
Civil rights, then the ballpark
09:30
King Historical Park in Sweet Auburn: birth home first, then Ebenezer and the crypt.
13:00
Lunch downtown, then the Center for Civil and Human Rights — two hours, quietly.
17:00
Walk to Mercedes-Benz Stadium or State Farm Arena for whatever is on.
22:00
Walk back into Downtown or Castleberry Hill rather than driving.
Day three
West side and eating
10:00
Grant Park farmers market if it is Sunday; Oakland Cemetery if it is not.
13:00
Train to West End, walk the Westside Trail to Lee + White.
16:00
Brewery row for the afternoon — walk or train, do not drive.
19:30
Rideshare up to Buford Highway and pick two places, not five.
