What you get
The 4 Minutes to Downtown by the Atlanta Beltline Trail in the Cabbagetown Neighborhood lists a long set of facilities rather than a tidy set of categories, and some of it is admin. You get a 24 hour front desk and 24 hour security, a concierge, express check in and luggage storage. Rooms come with air conditioning, a fan, a TV, a DVD player, an alarm clock, a safe, an iron and board, a hairdryer, bathrobes and toiletries. The kitchen side is real, not a token kettle: kitchen, kitchenette, oven, microwave, refrigerator and toaster. Outside there is a balcony, a patio, a terrace, a garden, a picnic area and a playground, plus a games room and a tennis court. Free wifi, free car parking and a business center cover the practical end. Where the list thins out is anything about the shape or number of rooms, and there is nothing about breakfast beyond a bar and snack area.
For a five star property the 4 Minutes to Downtown by the Atlanta Beltline Trail in the Cabbagetown Neighborhood reads like a self contained house rather than a serviced hotel. Washing machine, cots, sofa bed and family rooms point at groups, families and stays of more than a couple of days, and pets are allowed. You get a spa, a smoking area and non smoking rooms as well. The trade is that a house this stocked is not a place for a single traveller who wants a lobby, a bar and someone else doing the dishes. It suits people who want Cabbagetown itself, who will use the Beltline trail from the door and walk to Inman Park.

Where it puts you
Cabbagetown is on the southeast side of the city, a pocket of mill cottages painted every colour, the Krog Street tunnel at one end and Carroll Street at the other. The site notes the stock is small, so book early. If you are staying here, you are on the BeltLine at mile 3.7, and the trail is at the door, which means you step out and start walking rather than finding your way to a trailhead. Inman Park is a 15 min walk for rail connections.
This suits you if you want a small, walkable neighbourhood with the trail and the tunnel as your anchors, and if you like the idea of a place where the housing stock is tight and the streets are short. It does not suit you if you want a hotel district with a lobby bar and a taxi rank, or if you would rather not walk to reach the train.
Booking it
Book direct through the link for this property and you are dealing with the house rather than a chain. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
