The list is thin on the things a hotel normally supplies: no restaurant, no gym, no pool and no reception desk.
For a group or a family willing to look after itself, 573 Vivid East Lake Oasis covers the practical side well. You park without paying, you cook instead of eating out, and you bring the dog. What it does not do is run itself for you. There is no room service and no concierge, so if you want a hotel that handles everything, this is the wrong address. Suits drivers and self caterers. Does not suit anyone wanting full service.

These hotels are not in Decatur. They are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. They sit in the wider metro, off-loop on the east side, and Decatur is simply the nearest of those neighbourhoods, close enough to be the default answer to where you are. It is not where you are sleeping.
That matters when you plan your days. The square, the restaurants and the rest of what the loop is known for are a trip away, not a stroll from your room. Decatur itself is its own small city six miles out, with a square, a rail station and the best restaurants-per-capita in Georgia. It has the Decatur, Blue/Green rail stop, while the hotels themselves sit off the loop. Suits anyone who wants the east side and a base outside the city proper, and anyone driving in. Wrong if you pictured walking out your door into Decatur.
