What you get
The AC Hotel by Marriott Atlanta Midtown lists the useful things first: free wifi, air conditioning, a 24 hour front desk, express check in, lifts, luggage storage, parking, laundry and dry cleaning, a business center, and wheelchair accessible rooms. Rooms come with a desk, a safe, a refrigerator, a sofa bed, a hairdryer, an iron and board, toiletries and towels. There is a fitness center, a restaurant, a bar and a lounge, and a market for the gaps between meals. The list runs thin where a leisure stay would look for more: an outdoor pool, a pool bar, a picnic area and a terrace are listed, but the property gives no detail beyond the names, and the golf course nearby entry is an area reference rather than anything the hotel runs.
For a stay at the AC Hotel by Marriott Atlanta Midtown, that adds up to a working address in Midtown rather than a resort. You get a bed, a desk, a shower and a coffee machine, a gym downstairs, and a rail line into the rest of the city. The noise and pace of Midtown sit outside the door. This property suits someone in town for a conference, a campus visit or a game, who wants to walk out and ride rather than drive and park. It does not suit a family who want a pool day, or anyone who books for the grounds and the view.

Where it puts you
Midtown is the default answer for staying in Atlanta, and usually the right one. Two rail stations put the whole city within reach without a car: the Midtown, Red/Gold stop is the one you will use most, though the neighbourhood is served by more than one. The park, the High, and the trail four blocks east are all part of the package. The trail label reads 0.4 mi to trail, and the BeltLine mile is 17.6, so you are on the east side of the loop rather than at its ends.
This suits you if you want to leave the car parked and walk to what you came for, and if you would rather be in the middle of things than in a quiet residential pocket. It does not suit you if you want a quiet street, free parking, or a base for the airport side of town. The trade is convenience for calm.
Booking it
Book the AC Hotel by Marriott Atlanta Midtown if you want a Midtown address on the rail line and you care more about the location than the pool. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
