What you get
Beverly Hills Inn is a two star property at 65 Sheridan Dr. N.E. Buckhead, in Greater Atlanta. The listed facilities are plain and cover the basics: air conditioning, a hairdryer, a radio and a TV, plus conference hall space. That is the whole list. There is no pool, no gym, no restaurant and no airport shuttle named. Twelve photos are on file, so you can see the rooms before deciding. The conference hall is the one facility that goes beyond an overnight stay.
For someone driving into Atlanta and needing a bed in Buckhead, Beverly Hills Inn does the job without pretending to be more than a two star hotel. They sit in the wider metro, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of those neighbourhoods, which is a different thing from being in it. You are outside the loop, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
Piedmont Park itself is the most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. If that is what you came for, you will be going to it rather than sleeping beside it, and the rail and trail labels tell you how the trip out is made: Midtown, 12 min, and the trail at the door.
