That matters when you plan your days: you are not sleeping in the middle of the city the loop is built around, so you should expect to travel for the things this site is about. The Beltline is at mile 5.4, King Memorial is 20 min away, and the trail is 0.6 mi from these hotels.
Grant Park itself is where the zoo, the Cyclorama and the best Sunday farmers market in the city sit, and families end up here and stay put. Treat that as your nearest anchor rather than your address. If you want to be inside the loop, look elsewhere; if you want a base in Greater Atlanta and are willing to move for the rest, this is your side of town.
