What you get
Captivating Home near Downtown ATL is a three star property on Enchanted Forest Drive in Conley, in Greater Atlanta. The listed facilities run long on housekeeping and self catering: a kitchen and kitchenette with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and coffee, plus a bath, shower, hairdryer, toiletries, towels, slippers and bathrobe. Outside there is a garden, patio, picnic area and playground, and inside a lounge, games room, fireplace, TV, DVD and video. Practical items are covered with free wifi, air conditioning, a fan, iron and board, desk, safe, laundry service, luggage storage and free car parking. Where the list is thin is anything you would call a service: bars, banquet and spa appear, but there is no restaurant, no gym beyond aerobics, and no concierge.
What that adds up to for Captivating Home near Downtown ATL is a self contained base rather than a serviced hotel. You get space, a kitchen and laundry, which suits a family or a group staying several days and eating in, and the free parking and shuttle service help if you have a car. It does not suit someone who wants to step outside into a dense grid of bars and restaurants, or who wants daily housekeeping and a front desk that answers at any hour. The address is 10.3 km from College Park, which is the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, and the property sits at the end of the Airport, Red/Gold line and Off the loop. Treat it as a house to return to, not a hotel to hang around in.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit well outside it, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. Treat it as the closest of the names on the map rather than the place you are booking into. You are out in Greater Atlanta, on the Airport side of town, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
What the site says of this end of things holds: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. The rail label reads Airport, Red/Gold, and the trail label reads Off the loop, which tells you what the location is and is not. If you want the neighbourhoods themselves, book elsewhere. If you want a bed near the airport at the bottom of the market, this is what that looks like.

Booking it
Book this one if you want a whole house near the airport end of the city rather than a room in a hotel. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
