What you get
The Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Center lists the things a working trip needs: free wifi, a business center, a 24 hour front desk, express check in, laundry and dry cleaning, luggage storage, lifts and wheelchair access. Rooms come with air conditioning, a desk, a coffee maker, a refrigerator, a microwave, a sofa bed, a safe, an iron and board, a hairdryer and toiletries. There is a restaurant, a bar, a lounge, a market, a fitness center and an outdoor pool, plus parking, a garden, a picnic area, banquet space and pet friendly rooms. The list is thin on nothing much except a shuttle or a rail station of its own; Midtown, 12 min is the rail label, and the trail line is at the door.
For a stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Center, that adds up to a self contained base. You can eat, work out, swim and park without leaving, which is what makes it work for a business trip, a one night stop on a longer drive, or anyone visiting family or an office in the northern suburbs. It is wrong for a holiday built around central Atlanta: the address puts the sights of the city at a distance, and if your days are planned around Piedmont Park or Midtown you will spend them in the car. Decide on the address first and the hotel second.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park, and they are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. Piedmont Park is simply the nearest of them, the closest edge of the map. What that means in practice is that you are staying in the wider metro, in Greater Atlanta, and you should expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for. The park, the skyline behind it, the busiest stretch of the BeltLine: none of it is on your doorstep.
This site calls Piedmont Park the most expensive mile on the loop, where you are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. That is the neighbourhood you are travelling toward, not the one you are sleeping in. Midtown sits at 12 min on the rail label, and the trail label puts the trail at the door, but read those as labels for Piedmont Park itself. Your bed is out past it.

Booking it
Book the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Center if the northern suburbs are where you need to be, and book it through the site rather than the front desk. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
