What you get

There is a business centre, a concierge, express check in, free wifi, a restaurant, a bar, room service and a lounge. You also get an indoor pool and a fitness centre, a spa, a garden, a terrace, laundry and dry cleaning, luggage storage and a market for the things you forgot. Rooms carry air conditioning, a desk, a safe, a refrigerator, coffee, a TV, a hairdryer and toiletries. The list is thinner on the parts of a holiday that are not about doing business or sleeping: nothing here is aimed at a day outdoors.
For someone flying in or working the Perimeter, Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia by IHG does the job: a shuttle service, parking in a garage, pets allowed, family rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms cover most arrivals, and the pool and spa give you something to do once the calls stop. The trail at the door is the one genuine reason to pick this over another corporate hotel in the area. It does not suit a holiday built on Piedmont Park or the centre of Atlanta. Midtown, 12 min is the rail label, and 15.0 km from Piedmont Park, which is the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, is the honest measure of how far you are from the city you came to see.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park. They sit outside all 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of them. That distinction matters: when you book here, you are in the wider metro, not on the park's edge. The loop's famous stretch, at Beltline mile 18.3, is something you travel to rather than step out into. Expect to move for the grass, the skyline, the crowds.
Midtown is 12 min on the rail label and the trail is at the door, but treat those as the site's own shorthand, not a substitute for the park itself. What the site says of the neighbourhood: The most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. On the northeast side of town, in Greater Atlanta, these hotels suit a metro base and do not suit a Piedmont Park holiday.
