What you get
Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport South Sullivan Road lists the basics an airport stay needs: a 24 hour front desk, express check in, free wifi, parking, a shuttle service, a fitness center, a business center, laundry service and lifts. Rooms come with air conditioning, a desk, a TV with pay per view, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a safe, a hairdryer, an iron and board, and a sofa bed in some. Accessible rooms and family rooms are listed. Breakfast is included. The list is thin on anything beyond the functional: no restaurant, no bar, no pool, nothing to fill an evening.
What that adds up to at Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport South Sullivan Road is a bed, a shower and a ride to the terminal. The guest score of 4 out of 5 from 1409 reviews says the basics are handled. This suits you if you have an early flight, a layover or one night in College Park on business, and you want the airport run taken care of. It does not suit a holiday, a long stay or anyone who wants the hotel to be part of the trip. Everything here is in service of the flight.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in College Park, on the airport side of town, and the rail connection is the reason to be here. Airport, Red/Gold is the line you want: it puts you on the same system that runs through the centre, so you can reach Five Points without a car, and the site's own verdict on the area is blunt enough to quote: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday.
The BeltLine side is different. College Park is off the loop, which means the trail is not on your doorstep and this is not a neighbourhood you pick for walking the city. What is walkable here is ordinary: you stay close to the station, you eat nearby, you sleep. Book it if you have a plane to catch or you want the lowest bed cost in the metro. Do not book it if you came to Atlanta for the BeltLine.
Booking it
Book this one if the airport run is the whole point of your stay, and book it direct rather than through a listing site. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
