What you get
Start with the airport. The Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West Camp Creek Pkwy sits on Creek Pointe Drive in Greater Atlanta, 4.8 km from College Park, which is the nearest of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers. It lists free car parking and free wifi, a 24 hour front desk, luggage storage and a laundry service, so a late arrival or a washed shirt are both handled. It has an outdoor pool and a fitness center. Every room is non smoking, with air conditioning, a hairdryer, an iron and board, a safe, a microwave, a refrigerator and a sofa bed, plus a TV, a radio and a telephone. Breakfast is listed. The thin parts are dining and drink: there is no restaurant listed, only room service and banquet space, no bar, and no airport shuttle is named anywhere in the facilities.
For someone flying from Atlanta, that list does the job: park the car, use the desk at any hour, sleep, and leave. It also suits a family who wants one room with a sofa bed and a microwave rather than two, and it accepts pets, which few airport hotels bother with. It is the wrong hotel for a weekend of restaurants and museums. Nobody staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West Camp Creek Pkwy is strolling to a bar or a gallery, and there is no train platform at the door. Treat it as a bed near the airport, not a base for Atlanta.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit outside the twenty four neighbourhoods this site covers, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of them. Treat the label as a direction rather than an address: you are in the greater Atlanta area, and the places the loop is known for are somewhere you travel to rather than walk out into.
What you get for that is the airport line, the Red and Gold, and a bed that is off the loop rather than on it. The site's own summary puts it plainly: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. If your trip is built around the Beltline and the neighbourhoods, book nearer the middle and pay for it.

Booking it
Book this one only for the nights the airport is the point of the trip. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
