What you get
Haven Hideaway lists a full working kitchen: oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, coffee, plus a washing machine, iron and board, hairdryer and towels, so you can arrive with a bag and nothing else. There is free wifi, a TV, air conditioning and non smoking rooms throughout, and the bathrooms are proper rooms rather than a shared down the hall. Outside there is a garden you can use, and a parking space at no charge. Pets are allowed and there is a first aid kit and smoke detector on the list. Where the list thins out is anything resembling service: no gym, no breakfast, no bar, no reception desk described, and no rail link, which is the gap that matters most here.
What that adds up to is a house you run yourself. Haven Hideaway gives you space, a kitchen and a garden in Old Fourth Ward, 0.6 km from the centre of Old Fourth Ward, with the trail at the door and no rail. You cook, you park, you come and go on the bus, or you walk out onto the trail. It suits people staying several days who want a base rather than a room, and anyone travelling with a pet or a car. It does not suit you if you want to be walked to a station each morning or have someone else make breakfast.

Where it puts you
Old Fourth Ward sits on the east side, and the site's own line on it is blunt: Ponce City Market, the skate park and the best stretch of the Eastside Trail. You pay for the address and you actually use it. That is the honest pitch here. There is no rail, trail plus bus is the setup, and the trail is at the door, so the BeltLine is the transport, not a weekend outing. The 2.1 figure is the BeltLine mile, given as the site records it.
This suits you if you want to step out and be among people, food and pavement without arranging a ride first. It does not suit you if you want a quiet base at the end of a day, or if your plans sit on the far side of town and you were counting on a train. Bring shoes you can walk in and a bus card.
Booking it
Booking Haven Hideaway is straightforward if you already know you want self catering rather than service. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
