What you get
Hedge Haus lists the things that make a house work rather than the things that make a hotel lobby work. You get a kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator and toaster, plus coffee, so meals here are your own business rather than a restaurant booking. There is a washing machine, an iron and board, and a hairdryer, and towels are provided, which matters if you are staying long enough to unpack. Air conditioning, heating implied by the non smoking rooms, free wifi and internet access, a TV and a patio cover the rest. Pets are allowed, and first aid and a smoke detector are on the list. Where the list is thin is service: no restaurant, no gym, no pool, no bar, nothing that runs on a schedule you do not set yourself.
For someone staying a week in Summerhill with a car full of groceries, Hedge Haus does the job a serviced apartment does, with the space of a house behind a patio and a kitchen that actually cooks. For someone who wants a concierge, a bar downstairs or a made bed every morning, it will feel like a rental rather than a hotel, and the four star label here describes the fit and finish of the house, not a service menu. Hedge Haus suits families, small groups and pet owners who want their own kitchen and their own timetable.

Where it puts you
Summerhill sits on the south side of the city, rebuilt around the old stadium site. New rooms, real bakeries, and a twenty-minute walk into downtown, which is the honest shape of the place: a neighbourhood that was torn down and put back up, and still looks like it. The Georgia State, Blue stop is your rail connection, and the BeltLine is close enough that the trail label reads 0.9 mi to trail from here.
That combination suits you if you want to move around without a car, whether that means the train or the path, and if you would rather sleep somewhere with a bakery than a lobby bar. It suits you less if you want a holiday built on old buildings and long strolls past them, because most of what surrounds you is recent. Come for the access, not for the atmosphere.
Booking it
Book Hedge Haus directly if the kitchen and the washing machine are the reasons you are choosing it, because those are the parts of the stay that are hardest to replace elsewhere in Summerhill. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
