What you get
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Airport NE Hapeville by IHG is a two star property, and the listed facilities are those of an airport hotel doing the basics properly. You get a 24 hour front desk, free wifi, air conditioning, a desk and a television in the room, plus a microwave, refrigerator and coffee making kit. Breakfast is listed, there is a fitness center and an outdoor pool, and the hotel runs a shuttle service. Parking, laundry, dry cleaning, housekeeping and a business center with copy facilities cover the working stay. The list is thin where a leisure hotel would pad it: this is not a property with a restaurant, a bar or a spa, and the draw is the airport rather than the address.
For someone flying out of Atlanta, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Airport NE Hapeville by IHG does what an airport hotel needs to do. The room is carpeted and non smoking, with a bath, shower, hairdryer, iron and board, safe and towels, and the accessible rooms and lifts matter if you are travelling with a wheelchair. The catch is the setting. This is a two star hotel by the airport, not a base for seeing the city, and anyone wanting restaurants and evening life on the doorstep will find the list of things to walk to short. Book it for one purpose: a flight. It suits a short stop, a crew night or an early departure. It does not suit a holiday.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in College Park. They sit outside the twenty four neighbourhoods this site covers, in the wider metro, and College Park is only the nearest of them. Treat the label as a direction rather than an address: you are in the greater Atlanta area, and the places the loop is known for are somewhere you travel to rather than walk out into.
What you get for that is the airport line, the Red and Gold, and a bed that is off the loop rather than on it. The site's own summary puts it plainly: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday. If your trip is built around the Beltline and the neighbourhoods, book nearer the middle and pay for it.

Booking it
This property makes sense for a flight, so book it when the airport is the reason for the trip. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
