Book it if you are in town for a conference, a game or a one night stop and you value a chain's predictability over personality. Do not book it if you are treating Atlanta as a holiday and want a neighbourhood with atmosphere, or if you need a pool for the afternoons.

Where it puts you
You are staying Downtown, inside the loop, where the train at Five Points puts every line in the city within reach. That is the point of the location: you can move around Atlanta without a car, and the rest of the trip is built on that. The site's own line on the neighbourhood is blunt about the trade: the cheapest walk to a train in the city, with convention traffic setting the price, so a Tuesday in January is a different hotel than a Tuesday in October.
The BeltLine trail is also here, and the 0.8 mi to trail is the figure to keep in mind if you plan to walk or run it. This suits anyone whose trip runs on transit and convention schedules. It does not suit a holiday built around quiet streets and long, slow mornings.

Book this one if your dates are fixed around an event and you want a Downtown room with parking and a desk, rather than a weekend you will spend in the building.
