It lists a full kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and toaster, plus a washing machine, iron and board, hairdryer and towels. There is air conditioning, free wifi, internet access, a desk, a TV and non smoking rooms, and outdoors a garden and a patio. You also get a fitness center, a swimming pool and free car parking. Pets are allowed. First aid and a smoke detector are the safety items on the list. There is no restaurant, no bar and no front desk listed.
What that adds up to at Isle of Skye is a self contained base rather than a serviced stay. You cook, you wash, you park, and the pool and garden give you somewhere to sit that is not your room. That is why it suits families, groups and anyone staying several days, and anyone driving who wants the car parked for free. It does not suit you if you want daily housekeeping, a concierge or somewhere to eat downstairs. Little Five Points itself is a short walk, and the Inman Park rail label and the trail label give you two other ways out.

Where it puts you
You are in Little Five Points, on the east side of town. This is record shops, the Variety Playhouse and the loudest street corner in the city, and it stays loud into the small hours. If you want quiet mornings and an early night, look elsewhere on the site.
The rail connection at Inman Park, 12 min, puts the rest of the city within reach, and 0.5 mi to trail opens the BeltLine at mile 20.6 for walking or riding. Both are useful if you plan to spend your days out rather than in the room. The neighbourhood is best on foot, and the street itself is the attraction. It suits people who want the bars and the venues on the doorstep and do not mind the noise that comes with them.
Booking it
Book Isle of Skye directly if you want the kitchen, the parking and the pool locked in rather than hoped for. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io.
