What you get
Just renovated 3 BR 2Bath parking downtown view is a four star apartment rather than a hotel room, and the listed facilities follow that: a kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and toaster, a washing machine, a kitchenette, an iron and board, towels and toiletries, air conditioning, a fan and a TV. The building side of the list is unusually complete for a short stay: a 24 hour front desk, 24 hour security, express check in, lifts, a garage, free car parking, free wifi and internet access, non smoking rooms, family rooms, wheelchair access and a laundry service. The list is thin on anything to do outside the apartment itself: bars appear among the facilities, and there is no restaurant, no gym and no pool.
For a group or a family, the shape of Just renovated 3 BR 2Bath parking downtown view is the point. You get three separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen you can actually cook in and a washing machine, which is a different kind of stay from a hotel room where every meal is eaten out and every load of laundry goes to someone else. The free parking and garage matter in Sweet Auburn, where a car makes the neighbourhood and the rest of the city easier to reach. The verdict: book it if you are several people travelling together, staying more than a couple of days, or arriving by car. Do not book it if you want a compact room, a bar downstairs or a lobby to sit in, because this is an apartment, and it asks you to treat it like one.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in Sweet Auburn, on the east side of town, with the King birth home, Ebenezer Baptist and the curb market inside four blocks. The rail connection is King Memorial, Blue/Green, which puts the rest of the city within reach without a car. The BeltLine is close too: the trail is a short hop from these doors, and the site logs the address at 0.9 on the BeltLine.
Daytime here is walkable and dense with history. After dark it goes quiet, and the quiet suits some travellers and not others. If you want nightlife outside your door, this is the wrong pocket of the city. If you want the civil rights district on foot and a straightforward train ride to everything else, it works. Couples and solo travellers here for the history get the most out of it; groups chasing bars should look elsewhere.
Booking it
Book this one directly if you want the whole apartment held for your group, because three bedrooms and two bathrooms are the reason to choose it over a hotel. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
