What you get
Opulent Haven Retreats is a four star property at 3649 Mount Vernon Drive in College Park. The list is long and leaning hard toward self catering: kitchen, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, coffee, washing machine, iron and board. You get air conditioning, a fan, a balcony, a patio and a garden, plus a games room, a pool bar and a TV with video. Bathrooms list shower, WC, bidet, hairdryer, toiletries and towels. There is free wifi, internet access, a desk, family rooms, non smoking rooms, free car parking, luggage storage, laundry service, cleaning, smoke detector, first aid, security features and wheelchair access. Where it is thin: no restaurant, no gym, no airport transfer and no shuttle.
That adds up to a house for people who will cook, drive and stay a while, not a hotel for a single stopover. Opulent Haven Retreats makes sense for a family, a group of friends or a longer stay where a kitchen, washing machine and free parking matter more than a front desk. The pool bar and games room are the social side. It is less suited to someone without a car, someone who wants a restaurant downstairs, or a traveller who needs a short walk to the terminal. The centre of College Park is 3.4 km from the centre of College Park. The Airport, Red/Gold rail line runs from the area, and the property sits Off the loop.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in College Park, on the airport side of town, and the rail connection is the reason to be here. Airport, Red/Gold is the line you want: it puts you on the same system that runs through the centre, so you can reach Five Points without a car, and the site's own verdict on the area is blunt enough to quote: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday.
The BeltLine side is different. College Park is off the loop, which means the trail is not on your doorstep and this is not a neighbourhood you pick for walking the city. What is walkable here is ordinary: you stay close to the station, you eat nearby, you sleep. Book it if you have a plane to catch or you want the lowest bed cost in the metro. Do not book it if you came to Atlanta for the BeltLine.
Booking it
Book Opulent Haven Retreats direct if you want the kitchen, parking and garden, and confirm the accessible room and the family room you need before you commit. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
