For someone staying a while in Atlanta, The Silver Spot works. You can cook, wash clothes and park without paying extra. Family rooms are listed, so it takes more than a couple. Westview is 2.6 km from the centre of Westview, and the property sits on Tiger Flowers Drive Northwest. The trail at the door is the reason to pick this over a cheaper motel. What it is not is a base for seeing the city on foot. You need a car, or you ride the West End rail link. Book it for a long stay, a work trip or a family visit where you want a kitchen. Skip it if you want a lobby, a bar or a short walk to dinner.

Where it puts you
Westview is on the west side of Atlanta, and the rail connection lists as West End, 15 min, which is what puts the rest of the city within reach without a car. The BeltLine trail is at the door, so you can step out and walk or ride from the property itself. The neighbourhood is residential to the point of sleepy: bungalows, a couple of very good restaurants and the Westside Trail.
This suits you if you want quiet, a trail on the doorstep and a straightforward run to the West End rail stop. It does not suit you if you want to be in the middle of bars, shops and foot traffic, because Westview is not that. The BeltLine mile marker here is 11.4, so you are on the trail but well away from the busiest stretches.
