What you get
The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North lists the things a 4 star hotel is expected to list: a 24 hour front desk, air conditioning, a fitness center and gymnasium, an outdoor pool and a terrace, a restaurant and bars, a business center, and parking with valet. Rooms bring a bath, a shower, a desk, a safe, an iron and board, coffee, toiletries and towels. The list covers families and longer stays too, with family rooms, a cot, babysitting, laundry and dry cleaning, housekeeping, luggage storage and wheelchair access. Pets are allowed. Where the list is thin is anything beyond the building itself: no spa, no airport transfer detail, and no kitchen in the room.
What that adds up to is a hotel built for someone with a reason to be in Greater Atlanta rather than someone touring the city. The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North handles a work trip, a conference, a family stopover or a run to the airport without fuss, and the guest score of 4.3 out of 5 from 2972 reviews suggests it does that consistently. It suits business travellers, families passing through and anyone who wants a pool and a gym on site. It does not suit a visitor whose plan is to spend the trip in Midtown and the parks, because the hotel sits away from them.

Where it puts you
These hotels are not in Piedmont Park. They sit outside all 24 neighbourhoods this site covers, and Piedmont Park is only the nearest of them. That distinction matters: when you book here, you are in the wider metro, not on the park's edge. The loop's famous stretch, at Beltline mile 18.3, is something you travel to rather than step out into. Expect to move for the grass, the skyline, the crowds.
Midtown is 12 min on the rail label and the trail is at the door, but treat those as the site's own shorthand, not a substitute for the park itself. What the site says of the neighbourhood: The most expensive mile on the loop. You are paying for two hundred acres of grass and the skyline behind it. On the northeast side of town, in Greater Atlanta, these hotels suit a metro base and do not suit a Piedmont Park holiday.

Booking it
Book this one if your reason to be in Atlanta is work, a conference or a flight, rather than the city itself. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
