The list is thin on services you might expect at a hotel of this size: no pool, no fitness room, no restaurant, and no bar.
What that adds up to is a self contained house in a residential part of Mableton, not a hotel with a lobby and staff on hand. For a family, a group of friends or anyone travelling with a dog, the Charming renovated 4B Ranch gives you the space and the appliances to live normally for a few days, and the free parking means you arrive and leave on your own schedule. It is the wrong choice if you want to be in the middle of Atlanta, if you are relying on walking to restaurants and attractions, or if you want daily housekeeping and a front desk. Choose it for the room and the kitchen, not for the location.

These hotels are not in Bankhead. They are not in any of the 24 neighbourhoods this site covers: they sit out in the wider metro, and Bankhead is only the nearest of the neighbourhoods, worth mentioning for orientation and nothing more. If you book here, expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
Bankhead itself is on the Green line, with a stop of that name, and the trail is 0.7 mi to trail. The site's own note on the area is that it has the lowest median on the loop and is thin on places to eat, so plan to travel for dinner. That is the trade: a base outside the city, and a city you go into.
