If you book here, expect to travel for the things the loop is famous for.
Bankhead itself is on the Green line, with a stop of that name, and the trail is 0.7 mi to trail. The site's own note on the area is that it has the lowest median on the loop and is thin on places to eat, so plan to travel for dinner. That is the trade: a base outside the city, and a city you go into.
