What you get
High Rise Patio with City View In Heart of Downtown lists a full set of rooms and a working kitchen rather than hotel services. You get air conditioning, a balcony, a bath and bathroom, free wifi, a TV with video, a hairdryer, an iron and board, and toiletries. The kitchen side is complete: coffee, dishwasher, microwave, oven, refrigerator and toaster, with a washing machine for longer stays. Lifts, luggage storage, non smoking rooms, smoke detectors and first aid are covered, and high chairs are listed for children. The list is thin on the things a hotel normally provides: no restaurant, no bar, no gym, no pool and no parking mentioned, so you arrange your own meals and your own car.
What that adds up to at High Rise Patio with City View In Heart of Downtown is a self contained flat rather than a serviced room. You cook, you wash, you sit on the balcony, and you come and go through a lift in a Downtown tower. That is a good fit if you are in Atlanta for more than a couple of days, travelling as a family, or working from the flat and eating in. It is a poor fit if you want a front desk round the clock, a breakfast room, a gym downstairs, or a street with trees and neighbours rather than offices and traffic. The address on Peachtree Street puts you in the commercial core, and the flat itself is the reason to take it.

Where it puts you
You are staying Downtown, inside the loop, where the train at Five Points puts every line in the city within reach. That is the point of the location: you can move around Atlanta without a car, and the rest of the trip is built on that. The site's own line on the neighbourhood is blunt about the trade: the cheapest walk to a train in the city, with convention traffic setting the price, so a Tuesday in January is a different hotel than a Tuesday in October.
The BeltLine trail is also here, and the 0.8 mi to trail is the figure to keep in mind if you plan to walk or run it. This suits anyone whose trip runs on transit and convention schedules. It does not suit a holiday built around quiet streets and long, slow mornings.
Booking it
Book this one if you want the flat rather than the hotel, and confirm the balcony and kitchen are part of your booking before you pay. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
Facts on this page come from the booking supplier's record: star class, address, photographs and facility list. Guest scores come from verified stays. We have not stayed here; the neighbourhood copy is our own.
