The rest of the listed facilities are the practical sort. There is a twenty four hour front desk, twenty four hour security, free wifi, air conditioning, a fitness center, a business center, a market, laundry service, dry cleaning, a garage, lifts, and wheelchair access. Rooms come with a desk, a sofa bed, a safe, a hairdryer, toiletries, a TV and an iron and board, and pets are allowed. The list is thin on the things a holidaymaker looks for: no pool, no restaurant, no bar, and no breakfast room appear anywhere in it.
What Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Midtown adds up to is a base for work or a longer stay rather than a break. The kitchen and the market cover your own meals, the desk and the business center cover the work, the laundry and dry cleaning cover a week or more, and parking in the garage sorts the car. The guest score of 3.5 out of 5 from 499 reviews says the hotel does its job without delighting everyone. Choose it if you need a kitchen and a desk in Midtown, or if you are bringing a pet. Look elsewhere if you want a pool, a restaurant or a holiday atmosphere.

Where it puts you
Midtown is the default answer for staying in Atlanta, and usually the right one. Two rail stations put the whole city within reach without a car: the Midtown, Red/Gold stop is the one you will use most, though the neighbourhood is served by more than one. The park, the High, and the trail four blocks east are all part of the package. The trail label reads 0.4 mi to trail, and the BeltLine mile is 17.6, so you are on the east side of the loop rather than at its ends.
This suits you if you want to leave the car parked and walk to what you came for, and if you would rather be in the middle of things than in a quiet residential pocket. It does not suit you if you want a quiet street, free parking, or a base for the airport side of town. The trade is convenience for calm.
