The rail label is Tech Square, Red or Gold, which puts two train lines within reach and a straight run into downtown. Campus hotels here empty out in summer and drop their rates with it. Ten minutes on the train to downtown.
The BeltLine sits at mile 16.8 and the trail label reads 1.0 mi to trail, so the trail is close enough to reach on foot from this side of the neighbourhood. This suits anyone tied to the university, to a game or a conference, and anyone who wants the train rather than a car. It does not suit a holiday built on restaurants, nightlife or sightseeing, because the streets around here belong to the campus and go quiet when it does.
