For someone flying out of Atlanta, Tru By Hilton Atlanta Airport College Park is a sensible place to sleep and leave the car. You get the airport rail link from College Park, and the hotel is 1.2 km from the centre of College Park, so you are not stranded. The pool bar, lounge and market cover the gap between arriving and leaving. It suits a single night before an early flight, a work stopover, or anyone who wants parking and a fridge without paying for a full service hotel. It does not suit a long stay, a romantic break or anyone who wants a pool scene, a proper restaurant or quiet grounds. Off the loop is the honest summary: convenient, plain, and done.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in College Park, on the airport side of town, and the rail connection is the reason to be here. Airport, Red/Gold is the line you want: it puts you on the same system that runs through the centre, so you can reach Five Points without a car, and the site's own verdict on the area is blunt enough to quote: the cheapest bed in metro Atlanta and sixteen minutes by train to Five Points. Right for an early flight, wrong for a holiday.
The BeltLine side is different. College Park is off the loop, which means the trail is not on your doorstep and this is not a neighbourhood you pick for walking the city. What is walkable here is ordinary: you stay close to the station, you eat nearby, you sleep. Book it if you have a plane to catch or you want the lowest bed cost in the metro. Do not book it if you came to Atlanta for the BeltLine.

Book this one if you want a bed near the airport and a parking space rather than a resort, because the whole appeal is the location and the low fuss.
