What you get
Wabi Sabi lists a full set of rooms and a full set of appliances. You get air conditioning and heating, a bathroom with a bath, towels, a hairdryer, an iron and board, and cleaning. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee, so you can cook real meals rather than reheat. There is a desk, a TV, free wifi, a washing machine and free car parking. The list is thin on anything communal: no lounge, no front desk, no breakfast room.
Wabi Sabi works best read as an apartment rather than a hotel. The kitchen, the washing machine and the free parking shift it toward people staying several days, people driving into Atlanta, and people travelling with a dog or cat, which are allowed. The Grant Park setting is residential, with the centre of the neighbourhood 0.6 km away and the King Memorial rail stop within reach. Four stars here buys space and equipment, not service. It is wrong for anyone who wants a bar downstairs or a doorman.

Where it puts you
These hotels sit in Grant Park, on the southeast side of the city, and the neighbourhood is the reason to pick them. The zoo, the Cyclorama and the best Sunday farmers market in the city are here. Families end up here and stay put. The BeltLine is close at hand, with the trail 0.6 mi to trail, so you can walk or ride the loop rather than drive it.
For getting around, King Memorial, 20 min puts you on rail without needing a car for every trip. Come here if you want a residential pocket with real draws and a trail on the doorstep. Look elsewhere if you want downtown at street level or a quick weekend of bar hopping, because this is a slower, family-shaped part of town.
Booking it
Booking Wabi Sabi is worth doing early if you need the parking space or the pet-friendly room, since those are the parts that go first. Most rooms here can be cancelled free, and you book them through app.impt.io. Every confirmed booking removes one tonne of CO2, at no extra cost to you. Five percent of what you pay comes back as IMPT credit, out of the hotel commission rather than added to your bill.
